Venice Architecture

Venetian architecture is shaped by a complex and diverse influences adapted to lacustrine environment. After a beginning marked by Byzantine influence, Venice was able to successfully integrate all the elements characteristic of Renaissance styles: classical and baroque simultaneously proceeded, from forms to use, to assemblies that provide a unique, characteristic of this city surrounded by a watery mirror hues variables and crossed by a narrow channel network resplendent.
